After working away from home for five years, I returned to find my elderly parents begging on the freezing streets, holding my pale, malnourished son in their arms. I pulled out my digital bank statements and called my attorney on speaker, never imagining that when I looked closely at the framed family photo my wife had posted online, it concealed a terrifying threat.
