I bought this gallon just a few days ago, but when I went to pour a glass, I noticed the jug was swollen tight like a drum—even though it’s only halfway to the expiration date. Would you still use it, or throw it away?.

Look at the Container Before You Open It

A quick inspection only takes a few seconds.

Look at the sides and top of the package.

Does it appear unusually expanded?

Is the carton bulging?

Does the bottle look as though pressure has built up inside?
