After Grandpa died, Grandma lived there year-round because she said inland air made her chest feel old. She kept every receipt in a biscuit tin. Every tax notice in labeled envelopes. Every storm shutter bolt in coffee cans on the back porch. If a hinge squeaked, she knew which drawer held the oil.
