I was cleaning the pool this morning when I suddenly noticed this.

There were creatures found in stagnant water that looked almost unbelievable when photographed close up.

There were also stories from other people who had discovered unfamiliar organisms in pools, ponds and containers of standing water.

Rather than calming me down, the search initially made my imagination worse.
