I wiped out my husband’s $150,000 debt, and less than a day later he handed me divorce papers and acted like I was disposable. I almost laughed.

“No. You used the synced iPad in the living room because you thought I was stupid.”

Frank looked at his son. “What the hell is this?”

Jason ignored him. He looked at me and tried on a softer voice.

“Emily, come on. We can talk about this.”

I nodded. “Good idea.”
