John Cusack shares why he left Hollywood after decades of blockbusters

Because the project remained in their hands, neither creator had to watch major portions of the work being altered by people who had not participated in its original development.

Cusack summarized the difference in direct terms.

“There’s no bull, and there’s no committee,” he said. “There’s no computer up in Seattle that’s poll testing it.”
