“When your daughter called you before leaving four children on your son’s porch, what exactly did you tell her?”

He stared at the note.

His mouth worked.

Nobody helped him.

Finally he said, “I told her Kevin would handle it.”

“Because he always cleaned up after Chloe, correct?”
