In the 1970s, Brian Connolly shone as one of the brightest stars of the glam-rock era. With his striking blond hair, magnetic stage presence, and powerhouse vocals, he led The Sweet to global fame. Hits like “The Ballroom Blitz,” “Block Buster!” and “Fox on the Run” made the band a sensation, earning them multiple Top 20 singles and millions of record sales. For a time, Connolly was among the most iconic frontmen in rock music.

Born in Scotland in 1945, Brian’s early life wasn’t easy. He was fostered as a baby and later adopted by a loving family in Glasgow. As a young man, he moved to London to chase his dream, performing in clubs and eventually helping form The Sweet.
