The Captain Knew Me Before the Passenger Did

At that exact moment…

The cockpit door opened.

The captain stepped into the cabin, still wearing his headset around his neck.

He was already speaking to another crew member when his eyes met mine.

He stopped walking.

Mid-sentence.

For several long seconds…

He simply stared.

The first officer gently touched his arm.

“Captain?”
