The crowd thought the boy in the wheelchair was helpless-until the wild mustang lowered his head to his boots

studied him for a second, then nodded. “Fair enough.”

She explained the morning. A few  children with sensory processing challenges. Two wheelchair users. One boy with a recent spinal injury who had refused to participate for weeks. No riding unless everyone agreed it made sense. Mostly grooming, leading, pressure-and-release games, quiet contact.
