Jonah looked up sharply. “Why are you telling me?”

“Because he noticed you.” Walt slid the toothpick behind his ear and adjusted his hat. “Doesn’t mean you owe him anything. Doesn’t mean you can fix him. But a horse like that doesn’t hand you a door twice.”
