“My blood pressure got bad at twenty-eight weeks. They put me on bed rest.” She said it flatly, like reciting inventory. “I couldn’t work. Savings went fast. Randy helped more than he’ll admit. He also yelled more than he’ll admit.”
Randy crossed his arms. “You don’t get a medal for saying true things mean.”
