Nobody answered.

Then she saw the names on the front.

Her whole body changed. Not dramatic. Just a stop. Like somebody yanked the plug.

“No,” she said. “No way.”

Chloe took two quick steps and grabbed the edge of the island. “That’s not funny.”

“It’s not a joke,” Maya said.

Emma looked at me. “Open it.”
